The Providence Congregation began in 1981 gathering together several
families that lived in Rhode Island, but were attending services in our
congregations in Norwich, CT, and Boston, MA. The first services
were held on Thursday evenings in the Community Room of an apartment
complex for the elderly in East Providence. By 1982, the
Providence Congregation was firmly established holding Sunday and
Wednesday services. As the congregation grew, a new building was
constructed and our church on Bridgham Street was dedicated in June,
1993.
We extend a hearty welcome to all to visit us and join in our Divine
Services. Our services are Sunday at 10:30 am and Wednesday
evening at 8:00 pm. We also have Sunday School classes every
Sunday morning at 9:00 am.
