The congregation in Salt Lake City was founded in October 1977 when
Ruth Dissel and her son Steve moved from Kansas City and inquired as to
whether there was a New Apostolic Church in the city. When she was
informed that there was not, the brothers in the Denver, CO area were
informed of the Dissel's interest and began traveling to Salt
Lake. After a short time they were sealed. Shortly
thereafter, a young brother from the eastern United States began
attending college in Utah. In time this brother began holding
Wednesday services and soon was ordained into a ministry and eventually
was ordained a Priest and commisioned Rector.
In 1986, as the congregation continued to grow, a church building was
constructed to the great joy of our members.
This was the beginning of a congregation which has served as a blessing
for many souls who have made their home here and many travelers who have
enjoyed the fellowship found within its walls.
