New Apostolic Church USA

July 20, 2008 - Sea Cliff, New York

My very dear Brothers and Sisters,

Since this is the last transmission service I shall conduct, I decided to include all of our members in the USA.  I would like to take this opportunity to lay my profound thankfulness into your hearts for all the loyal support you have extended during these past eight years that I have been permitted to carry this ministry.  My wife and I have keenly felt your prayers and encountered your love everywhere we went.  My thankfulness and appreciation is hardly a reward for all that which was done.  Many things were seen, but I am certain many more were unseen.  Our Heavenly Father, however, has taken note of all, and He will be the great Rewarder of every deed of kindness.

I consider it a great privilege to have been permitted to serve you, and for that I offer humble thanks to our Heavenly Father, Who, by His grace, has made all things possible.  Be assured that each one of you shall live in my heart and soul as we proceed in the future until the return of our Redeemer, Christ Jesus.

Many of you have asked where my wife and I will live in our retirement, and that is no secret.  We will move to Virginia, and the reason is very simple.  While we would have happily remained in New York, our children and grandchildren reside in Virginia, and it is our wish to be near them.  I would like to thank all of you for always making my wife and me feel at home wherever we visited.

I promised you that when our Chief Apostle had made a decision on whom my successor would be I would share that with you.  Today, I can tell you that Apostle Leonard R. Kolb will be ordained into the ministry of District Apostle on the day of my retirement.  I humbly request that all of you support him and give your hearts to him as you have done to me.  You can be assured that he will have my full support, and in my retirement it shall be my joy and privilege to see the further development of this district under his care.

With personal best wishes for the continued grace of the Almighty God and all my love, I wish you all the best for the future.

Richard C. Freund
