Let us be Persistent

1 Corinthians 16:9, For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

From the sermon series: Fellowship with Christ

Apostle Paul is writing to the Corinthians to say that on his way to come visit them, he will first make a stop in Ephesus. He would stay for a while because the people were ready to receive the Gospel and he hoped that many more could be brought to Jesus.

Paul knew that where there were believers, the devil would be sure to cause much trouble. And yet, Paul did not lose courage in this fact and still wanted to try to bring the Gospel to the Ephesians. With the Gospel truth inside of us, we also do not want to give up testifying in the face of struggle. With God on our side, we can embrace the challenge and be victorious.
