Remembering Apostle Wilbert Vovak

It is with sadness that we report the passing of the retired District Apostle Helper Wilbert Vovak on Sunday July 28th. The Apostle dedicated his life to serving God. He was an ordained minister of the New Apostolic Church for 50 years before retiring in 2001.

He served as an apostle of Jesus Christ since 1974 and was a tireless missionary and evangelizer throughout the African, Asian, and North American continents.

Apostle Vovak was born in 1931 in Cleveland Ohio. He is survived by his wife Katherine, his son John. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Claudia Rose, in her youth.

A memorial service is being planned at 44315 North Gratiot Ave, Clinton Township, MI 48036 on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10:30am that will be conducted by District Apostle Kolb. This service will be recorded and made available on our website shortly after the memorial.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be conveyed via a donation to the New Apostolic Church USA, earmarked for NAC Missions Work. These donations can be mailed to the Chicago Administration office at 3753 North Troy Street, Chicago IL 60618.

Please join us in prayer and support for the family of our Apostle.
