Seek, and you will find | October 9

“For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.”
Hebrews 13: 14  NKJV

In a way, we are foreigners in this world. We are wise to keep a certain distance between us and the earthly matters of this time, and to find the right balance in this regard is not always easy. We have a different goal, and this must make itself felt. Already today, the eternal glorious city of God is to show signs of development. Its roots are found in love, peace and joy, as well as heartfelt fellowship. How beautiful it is when people can tell that we radiate something very special, when others can recognize that the Holy Spirit reigns in the congregation!

We must continually seek the presence of God. Some days He is close beside us … other days we struggle to find Him. Let us seek Him in prayer, as well as in the divine services.

There is a beautiful promise of the Lord regarding this endeavor: “Seek, and you will find” (Matthew 7: 7 ).

When you seek the Lord you will experience that He is still to be found today.
