Heavenly treasure will flow | October 30

“Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you:  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’”
Acts 3: 6  NKJV

Peter’s words to the paralyzed beggar were certainly worth more than the few coins he expected. We have each been sealed with the Holy Spirit as New Apostolic Christians, but why did we draw even closer to Christ as time went on? There is no silver and gold here, but the Lord gives us heavenly treasures that will go with us into eternity. The fact that we are children of peace and that we have a firm faith will accompany us into the beyond. Now it is our task to give and to share what we have received, with our neighbor. We can share our belief and our strong hope in the return of Jesus Christ. The love that has been poured into our hearts, the peace and joy we count as divine treasures … let us share this with others.

We wish for the unredeemed souls in the beyond to partake in these gifts, also. How can we reach the souls in eternity? If we pray for these yearning souls, then heavenly treasures will flow to them, and ultimately a door to grace and help will open for them. We cannot give gold or silver, but let us offer that which we do have to all longing souls.

I can only help if I have a heart full of mercy and love. Do I wrestle in prayer for the departed?
