Divine gifts for the believer | November 20

“… even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 1: 6 -7  NKJV

These three points are essential elements of the testimony of Christ: He has brought the sacrifice for all mankind; He works in the present through His word; and He will come again and take His own unto Himself. Is this truly our conviction? If the testimony of Christ is firmly anchored in our hearts, the blessing of God will be manifest and we will enjoy countless divine gifts. Trust, courage, profound knowledge, and insight—all these are gifts from the Lord. Also, do not let your joy diminish! Let it radiate from your eyes, and let the congregation be a refuge and place of joy.

Let us keep the word of God and act accordingly. Once the testimony of Christ has become firm within us, we will no longer have any deficiencies, but rather the fullness of divine gifts. Let us persevere and acquire the powers we still need in order to persist in waiting for Christ’s return.

Am I passively waiting, or making use of the time by using my gifts for the Lord’s work?
