Learn from glorify God | Week of October 19

Exodus 15:2, The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

From the sermon series: Learn from Me...

This verse is part of the song that Moses and God’s people sing to Him in praise of their deliverance from the Egyptians at the Red Sea.

Parallel to the Israelites’ deliverance from slavery and their enemies, we also can reflect on our own deliverance from sin through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Recognizing that we are free from the bondage and eternal consequences of our sin, we can offer our own praise to God. We praise and worship Him for the grace He continually shows, for His love, which was demonstrated most clearly through the sacrifice of His Son, and for the peace that we can feel knowing that we will not have to suffer because of sin.

Journal Prompt: How can our actions and deeds demonstrate that we praise God for our deliverance from sin? In other words, how do we live differently when we acknowledge what He has done for us?
