Scout Sunday

February 7, 2016 Bucks County, PA

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from throughout the Pennsylvania District attended Divine Service in the Bucks County congregation to observe Scout Sunday. This year marked the sixth consecutive time a Scout Sunday was recognized in this New Apostolic congregation.

Wearing their respective program uniforms, the Scouts and their leaders filed into the sanctuary during the opening hymn. After being led by three scouts carrying the American flag, Boy Scout flag, and Girl Scout flag each scout immediately bowed their heads in prayer to remain Reverent.

During service, a Scouter and Boy Scout shared in reading a Call to Worship that focused on Duty to God. Officiant Evangelist Jeff Miller shared a special poem with the scouts and mentioned the fun he had when he was in Cub Scouts as a boy. Afterwards each scout received a Scout Sunday patch and was thanked for the continued dedication of service they perform as A Scout.
