Priest Eddy Denecke Retired

October 30,2016 Schenectady, NY

Priest Eddy Denecke was retired by Apostle Fendt in a service today.

 

Priest Denecke has served in various ministries for over 45 years.  He was first ordained into the ministry of a Sub-Deacon on October 3, 1971 then as a Deacon on September 2, 1973.  He was married to Gerry on June 27, 1976 , and ordained as a Priest on May 23, 1981.


Priest Denecke assisted in a number of congregations within the New York District which include Astoria, Westbury, Uniondale, Bellerose, Bayside, Bronx and White Plains having been commissioned as its Rector on June 9, 2004.  He also assisted as a District wide Confirmation teacher within the NY District, utilizing his professional training as a high school educator in the Science field. 


The past few years Priest Denecke and Gerry moved to the Capital District, and continued to serve in the Schenectady congregation as a Priest, confirmation teacher, discussion facilitator, while also assisting in the Florida District during the winter months.


We are thankful for all of their loving service in the many congregations where he was commissioned, his positive and upbeat manner, and continued and loyal support over many years.
