Christmas from A-Z

December 11, 2016 Limerick, PA

‘Twas the afternoon of the 3rd Sunday of Advent and all through God’s House, the creatures were stirring…anxious to begin the afternoon’s Limerick-Reading combined Christmas program. Our master of ceremonies, Wally Meisner, with the help of Sunday School parents and teachers had prepared a fun spelling lesson on the words of Christmas. Each child had decorated a special sign to represent their chosen letter of the alphabet and told us its importance to this season of Advent. As each group of children stood together, their letters formed four important words: Joy, Peace, Hope and Wonder. Singing by the children and the choir as well as music by talented instrumentalists added to occasion. A member of the youth directed the impressive choirs of Reading and Limerick singing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Piano Guys’ special arrangement of “Angels from the Realms of Glory.” All the elements that went into this day certainly filled us with the Christmas spirit and the everlasting love of Christ!
